yer just enable in your midi/sync preferences the remote box for your midi interace on the midi output port from ableton to that device. anything that you have assigned in remote/manual mapping section ableton will deal with it according.

Any idea if there's a way to make ableton give the parameter feedback? I'd think that'd work as long as you've mapped it with the remote function and not with the vst midi learn. Anybody know?

I use them for differnt things: the BCR is great for editing synths and realtime-control in a live-sitaution. The BCF however, is great in a working-enviroment. I use it with Cubase SX via Mackiemode and whenever I add a track, a lever pops up assign to it. Knobs on the top can also be used for pan/EQ/whatever by default. If you use more than 8 channels - simply scroll sideways using bankbuttons... (I really need to show this in a clip I guess)...:)

if you could only have one which would you chose? at the moment i have got it in to my head that the extra 12 controls that you get with the BCR will be more useful than being able to do more than two controls with ease at a time. bcr wins in my head but bcf wins in my heart

i will be using to do a bit of everything, creating tracks in the fashion that you are here and hopefully mixing aswell oh and all with ableton i am being tempted by the BCR because it will essentially fit 3 times as many controls in the same space as the BCF and do the same thing (for a little bit less) but motorized faders are so appealing its a tough choice

Can you route the midi connections via PC interface, then disconnect, leave the PC at home, and still use the behringer to control the parameters that you assigned for that patch? If so I might get a behringer and a micromodular instead of just a nord rack

really nice work! just a thing, i can hear your kick sweeping in phase, this is becasuse the oscillator you use doesn�t restart the waveform for each trigger, so it change over time and sometimes loose punch... you can make some fixed phase kicks using just the LFO with phase retrigger option...just slave it frequency to a generic master oscillator and change the rate until it reach the frequency you want

a drumloop is being routed to 10 different channels. each channel has it's own effects.
the routing of the audio is controlled with the bcr buttons.
that means: button one will route the audio to channel 1 button two to channel 2, etc... (audio is a bit out of sync though)

.....sorry aphextuso, i was dumb enough not to check if there was any audio on this avi.i didnt realise the camera mic was on. the track you can hear (00:22 - 01:07 ish ) is a track using reason 4, two Thor synths and a sidechained nnx-t with some ropey pad running through....blah blah blah. i think that track existed for all of 15 minutes; i didnt think to name it. sorry.

nice video :) its really simple to set up/connect and youre ready to go for some synth tweaking/whatnot fun! nice video! i wish every soft synth out there had parameter feedback, unfortunately mine doesnt, but i still like bcr2000, simple, easy and good looking too, with plenty of controls :D

Your config should be possible. You can use the native live support for the bcr to control selected plugin. But that is all you will have on the bcr. You can use my new preset which uses the native device controls. 3 bcfs controlling 24 tracks only pans and faders? Yes - possible. Config tricky. genmce(at)yahoocom I will assist. Don't miss bcmanager preset editor. You will have to hack that one together yourself. I don't have a bcf.

hey, i just bought the BCF2000 and a BCR2000 together, can i use the BCF2000 to control just faders and pan and the BCR2000 to control VST instruments and plug ins? i mean, i will get another pair of BCFs so i can have 24 faders but i'm just wondering if the BCR can be used ONLY as a Vpots unit of the channel that you have selected using the BCF.

This video shows the different performances at the same machine (Windows XP is running trough bootcamp) under different Operational Systems - MacOsX and Windows Xp. Even being a great Apple fan and knowing that OsX kicks windows ass, this video shows clearly that windows xp has much snappier response.

Depends on what you call snappy. It really didn't bother me until I saw how much faster it was under XP. Wich is a shame, cause I love OS X.

Im getting a code 10 error message. Iv tried it with both usb connection and midi. I emailed berhinger and they told me that the bcr is not designed to be run on xp through bootcamp, you are the only person iv seen do it. Im starting to think that its a problem with my computer. Any ideas?

Well, I agree, but what bugs me is that in OSX there are no drivers to be installed, there aren't any drivers to download from behringer ... its really plug and play. Drivers only exist (and are required) for Windows XP

I think all this shows is that the behringer os x drivers are crap... I've never seen windows running less latency than os x, apple has by far the superior OS for realtime audio
