You are right you dont get to see it much at least not in the UFC. Silva is very good on the ground. There are more ways of ending up on the ground that shooting for a take down. But Silva has awsome balance and what is so deadly about him is his ability to stay very calm through any situation. Fedor is the same way. I think thats why they are both Top fighters because they Remain Calm and think clearly throughout their fights.

for razor, Silva is a black belt in jujitsu and very comfortable on the ground, but you dont see it much as hes an excellent counter striker, so if your close enough to shoot in, your close enough to eat a strike.. and thats one reason why he so dangerous.

true but im not an idiot and I expected GSP to walk over those guys-well not PENN and he didn't, but Silva is just something else, when you see some one make something look easy, thats when they are amazing, GSP is a highly skilled mma practitioner almost as good as its possible to be, with 1 exception..
