I did a search also and what I came up with is black men making videos about how much black women love thugs. I didn't look at all of them but I did look at a couple of pages. The videos I found that actually had black women in them was about them NOT wanting thugs. That's what I found here on youtube. That would mean despite the alarming high rate that black men are being imprisoned and killed, and the higher population of BW, black men are still marrying at a FAR higher rate than BW. This would have to mean that black men and other races are rejecting black women at an alarming rate. Even if the 61% of black men are single is true, on the national avg, I think 50% of all Americans are single, so that a 11% difference compared to 21% difference. Wow!

@tysian, oh, sorry if I didnt explain it properly. 1st you use the loofah to bathe with. Use it just like any ordinary wash cloth or sponge. The loofah is a natural exfoliant. Scrub your skin with it as you bathe. Before you shower mix the olive oil and shea butter. Run the bottle under hot water to get the mixture to meld together. shake well. Keep inside of the bathroom. After you shower and your skin is wet and supple, oil yourself liberally and continue to go about your day. :) -TKO

Sometimes the energy and resources needed for digestion would be better spent on something else. Getting the juice out of a spinach without having to put it thru 25 miles of intestines is WELL worth the effort for an instant pump full of wonderful vitamins and nutrients. Well that's exactly my point--the orange is 45 but a glass of orange juice has way more calories. If you're just juicing a few oranges, it's no big deal. But I'd say the fiber and water in 2 oranges would fill you up way more than the juice. Oh and I fully admit most of my supplements are BS--it's always better to eat the food the nutrients are in rather than take the supplements.

Well I've never actually used Jillian's books myself--but she gives some pretty good advice. I lost 50 pounds myself, and it didn't involve gulping down 500 calorie glasses of juice, that's for sure. And seriously, you don't need to ingest 50 bunches of spinach in a glass every day. You can get all the nutrients you need from a well balanced diet and perhaps some supplementation. Your goal is weight loss, not fighting of scurvy! :)

Juicing is the ONLY way to get THAT MANY nutrients in one glass. You can juice spinach and many other veggies as well as fruits. In order to get the same amt as one glass you'd have to eat MANY bunches of spinach RAW? Juicing is the BEST way to get live nutrients into your system w/o waiting for the process of digestion. The body needs glucose as well, and fruits are PACKED full of phytonutrients and vitamins. They also mask the flavor of veggies &cut out sugar craving while gettn vitamins TKO

You just need to look at the calorie counts. Even without added sugars, smoothies and juices are TONS of calories. You are better off eating the fruit which has fiber and water in addition to natural sugars--much more filling with far less calories (and more nutrition). I'm not saying to not eat fruits and veggies--but you're much better off without juices and smoothies. Seriously---read the Jillian Michaels books!

Great idea for a video series & I loved it. I do thirty minutes to an hour of cardio alternated with weight training ever other day. I also do a daily secular yoga routine based on Kundalini. Breathing & stretching are key. On my lazy days I still do 10 sets of 10 ab exercises. I need to swim more, even at all, to get the aesthetic results I would like.

Regular H2O is always the best way to go but I also depend on LaCroix Berry Seltzer Water, it is amazing. If you're drinking koolaid thats a bigger problem in and of itself. That stuff is made from a lot of artificial chemicals and colrings/dyes. The harder water is for you to drink, the more you probably need to drink it. It wont be hard if you start slow. start with 1/4 glass of water and slowly put more and more in each time. Let us know how it goes -TKO

What an amazing video!! With all my heart, I wish I could have been there. On my lazy street populated by mostly old people, I danced a jig in the street with my 89 y/o neighbor while someone was setting off fireworks on the next street over (it is Pittsburgh! We do fireworks for everything!). After about 15 minutes, a few more people joined us. On the main street, there were hoots and hollers, but nothing like what you have shared with us. Thank you so much for this video- I'll watch it often!

I think it's a great idea, Tonya. Young kids do need good role models, and that's unfortunately something too many in our community aren't getting in their homes. @KBly22. I didn't think Obama was that attractive...until I saw those topless photos of him online. Who knew? and it's not a thyroid problem? I had a thyroid problem, or at least what I understood were ther sympts for a thyroid prob. I took Kombu seaweed (kelp) because it contains an astronomical amt of iodine as well as an abundance of other minerals. Next time you're in a health fd store, pick up a bag and read the mineral contact. it is in the 1000% realm. Exercise is key for most of us.

Miel, I think my metabolism is damaged from the months after my surgery where I wasnt eating and was sedentary. I was getting probably 500 calories a day. Then I started eating waffles. BAD combination. Right now my biggest issue is I don't exercise. I still eat a fairly vegetarian diet except for the few days I may crave chicken or salmon. My metabolic type doesnt do well on starch & vegetables, & I cant eat veggies alone. I do best on larger amount of proteins little grain and lotsa veggies.

Actually no we cannot just "eat what we want." Some foods have addictive agents placed in them so that once we introduce them into our bodies we CAN'T stop. I have a sneaky feeling that corn syrup is addicting. As well as some thing they put in refined flour. Ordinary pizza cheese has growth hormones in it which promote tumor growth We are at war Feist, and we are the only ones looking out for ourselves. I hear eating smaller meals all throughout the day helps to keep the metabolism going. I also hear eating only when hungry works. But I have DEFINITELY heard starving yourself slows your metabolism and makes it harder for you to lose weight bcz your body goes into starvation mode.
