North Korea and most of the Mid Eastern countries have very serious problems with theirs economy, they have no need to nuke somebody. Your position is very close to ineterests of your country, as I see it. North Korea is a country of communists; there are many oil in the Mid Eastern countries. This is why your government talks like "they dont like us", this is why the war in Iraq started.

I didn't say I agreed with the nuke being let off in WW2. I don't think it was needed. You're coming across like an anarchist. Yes, I agree that most governments are corrupt, but I do believe there are people who genuinely care for others. Look at a country like North Korea or some Mid Eastern countries. They'd like to nuke us and kill millions of innocent people just because they don't like us. If we didn't have nukes they would have done that already. I'm not saying we should nuke anyone.

For benefit they are ready to destroy the world, and their conscience then stay clean. When a small Asian country will hit by nuclear bomb on the state like USA,it will be too late to talk about policy like "everyone have to have nukes"

so many people in here are so simple minded. When weapons like this are in the hands of evil people they will be used. The only way to prevent that from happening is if the good people have such weapons too. It's an example of how streangth is the best defense. If we didn't have nukes we'd be dead a long time ago, along with billions of other people. Stop acting like the world is simple and that war and death will go away because we want it to. Unfortunately that's not the world we live in.

youre right about the half-life, but the gross amount of non-recycleable waste produced by commercial reactors is greatly exagerrated by critics. Some of the oldest (and as such least efficient) reactors in the country have put out less non-recycleable waste than would fill a swimming pool. The new reactors the french are building put out almost none. And Im not sure uranium is as scarce compared to demand as other recources (ntm possible future advances in fusion of other elements).

Agreed. All technology can have no inherent good or evil, it is the user of that technology that has the choice for good or evil. Ultimately our patriarchal human society, in my opinion, is essentially destructive, and consequently the use of the nuclear bomb is a brilliant and atrocious representation of that said society.
