When children starts showing symptoms of HD, it is usually a result of accelerated HD because it passed from an already affected father/mother. There is a well known family in venezuela in which the youngest member of the affected family showed symptoms of chorea(involuntary movement) in her early twos. A truly sad disease and a person with this genetic disease will never get cured. If one has HD there is and will be no cure.

I laughed and cried all at once when the beautiful girl pushed her mum away from helping to blow her B'day candles out. So independent and determined to do it. Brave girl! She reminds me of my younder brother who suffers from HD too, both soldiers fighting on. Big hugs X

governemnts and people....please let us Do stem cell research. it is the only chance of a cure. here in Britain the government has big restrictions on this research, i'm not sure what it is like in the USA. i tell you, a cure could be round the corner but our hands are tied. until we have full access to stem cell research people will never see a cure for huntingtons. i honesetly believe that with stem cell research these sorts of diseases would be a thing of the past within 10 years.

My thought would be to look up your closest HDSA chapter with a social wrkr or family support service or call the national office at 1-800-345-4372.its all confidential.I believe you have options,it mainly requires someone who is exsperienced in working with individuals and families to guide someone through this.a lab that does multiple HD gene tests,they hold exsperience.wishing you all the best!

yeah my mother has hd for about 15 years .Her mother had it and so did her mothers sister.Its horrible to see what they have to go through.I haven't been tested for it yet but my sister has and she is negative .Take care hang in there thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Thanks for this video! My Aunt P. died after suffering for a decade w/HD. My Uncle T. was afflicted with HD before losing his life in a car accident most likely caused by HD. Now, ANOTHER one of my Aunts is in the advanced stages of HD. It's difficult to explain to people who have never seen HD how severely it affects overall functioning. God bless this child and her family--My ex-husband was diagnosed 3 yrs ago-age 37..1 sister of his died at 19-diagnosed at age-7..Another sister is 48 and in HD home...I cry everyday for my ex and my 2 beautiful daughters who are now at risk..I pray constantly-I HAVE to believe there will be a cure!! My girls are 9 & 15...They love their daddy sooo much..as do I..My heart and prayers go out to you all....KEEP THE FAITH--I know...easier said...My heat will be broken...Till the cure!! I believe...

So very sad. I wish that i hadn't watch it at work because I almost had a breakdown. My mother has had HD for a while now. My grandmother, uncle both had it. My sisters and I are at risk for it. There isn't a day go by that I don't have to deal with HD. My blessings go out to your family.
