I love the way Ringo Starr drums, I love George Harrison's bass guitar style, I love Paul McCartney & John Lennon's singing 'cause they rock the MILLENNIUM DUDES AND DUDETS!!!

Bored, sad...these words all fit the mindset of the group at the time this video was shot. The amazing thing you see here is how, amongst all the turmoil they were going through, that they could still make such great music look so natural.

By: sudofan. on 05 Jan 09, 06:22:28

Great performance and great song; but I'd like to comment on Debjorgo's point about Paul "squeezing another good performance out of them." Remember that an UNBELIEVABLY good performance was still to come...Abbey Road.
By: Jesusfreakerik. on 03 Jan 09, 06:54:29
U see back then left handed guitars were very hard to find. So Paul Mcartney played a right handed guitar backwards. Same thing with his bass
By: EvanYarr. on 02 Jan 09, 01:40:09

I love this song, the most under-rated Beatles track, it goes to show what an amazing group they were that this song, which hundreds of artists would have loved to written and recorded is hardly ever played or heard. Simply because their catalogue of music is so phenomenal and immense.
By: FinnMove. on 01 Jan 09, 12:30:20
I still wonder how to play guitar left- handed.

By: katiethebassist. on 28 Dec 08, 18:09:46
yeah he did do a good job.
By: debjorgo. on 28 Dec 08, 05:40:06
Yeah. Good job Paul. One of my all-time favorite videos. Glad you squeezed another good performance out of them. John would retire only five years later and George a few years after that. Too bad they didn't hire you as manager. Maybe you could have kept them working.
By: debjorgo. on 28 Dec 08, 05:17:24
But I feel compelled to say, I've never had a dead person tell me they prefered the freedom of determination in death to the constraints of the earthly body in life. Being dead sucks.
By: shacharbarasher. on 27 Dec 08, 18:31:30
Love it. Love them.
By: debjorgo. on 27 Dec 08, 15:47:16
This was covered on page 1. Yes, I would have been more correct to say George is playing the bass LINE on this. I knew it was a guitar, upright bass violas are much larger.
By: DayTripperLennon. on 27 Dec 08, 11:17:14
It's a guitar, a Tele. He's just using the lower strings to play the bass line.
By: DayTripperLennon. on 27 Dec 08, 11:15:51
He wasn't on drugs. but this was very near the end for the Beatles. He looks more like he really doesn't want to be there.
